Montgomery County in particular

Gray flake epoxy garage floor with overhead storage racks and a white double door, Huntsville, AL

Montgomery County gives us 3 towns: Montgomery, Pike Road and Hope Hull. All of them are inside our normal service area.

Between them the local economy runs on state government, the Hyundai plant, and river and rail logistics; one of the fastest-growing towns in the Montgomery metro. Those are the buildings where floor specification actually matters.

On the residential side the stock runs to historic districts, postwar neighborhoods, and state government adjacent development; large newer subdivision homes on generous lots.

Each town in Montgomery County has its own page below with what we tend to see there.

Work across Montgomery County is a mix of houses and working buildings, and the balance shifts town to town depending on what is there.

Residential work runs to garages, basements and outdoor slabs. Outdoor concrete needs a UV stable top coat and grit tuned to how wet the surface gets.

Towns we work in Montgomery County

Work across Montgomery County is a mix of houses and working buildings, and the balance shifts town to town depending on what is there.

Residential work runs to garages, basements and outdoor slabs. Outdoor concrete needs a UV stable top coat and grit tuned to how wet the surface gets.

Commercial floors get chosen around cleaning more than traffic. A floor that is dust mopped is easy. A floor that is hosed, degreased and steam cleaned every night is a much shorter list.

The prep does not change at a county line. Diamond grinding first, honest repairs, then whichever system the slab will actually hold.

Every town, and what it tends to need

Montgomery

Montgomery is on the Alabama River in the center of the state, with historic districts, postwar neighborhoods, and state government adjacent development. That tends to mean polished concrete, concrete resurfacing and concrete staining.

Pike Road

Pike Road sits east of Montgomery and is known for one of the fastest-growing towns in the Montgomery metro. Most of what we install there is flake epoxy flooring, non slip treatments and concrete refinishing.

Hope Hull

Sitting south of Montgomery near the interstate junction, Hope Hull is largely rural properties and large distribution buildings. Locally that points to polished concrete, epoxy flooring and concrete staining.

Concrete Staining

A good share of our Montgomery County work is concrete staining, on patios, interior floors, basements mainly.

Acid stain reacts chemically with the lime in the concrete, and because that reaction follows what is already in the slab, the result is mottled and variegated rather than uniform. Water based stains give more control over the color and a broader range.

Every slab takes stain differently. Its age, how it was finished, and what has soaked into it all show up in the result, which is why a sample area on the actual floor beats a color chart.

Polished Concrete

Polished concrete is one of the systems Montgomery County asks for most, typically on retail floors, warehouses, lobbies.

Polishing is mechanical, not a coating. We run diamond tooling across the slab in steps, each one finer than the last, and the gloss comes from the concrete closing up rather than from anything we put on it.

A densifier goes down partway through the grit sequence. It reacts with the free lime in the slab and hardens the surface from within, which is what keeps a polished floor from dusting the way bare concrete does.

Concrete Refinishing

Montgomery County sees plenty of concrete refinishing, most often for failed coatings, tired garages, older commercial floors.

The owner started out stripping and waxing floors, which is exactly the work of taking a surface back to a state you can build on. That is the same instinct this service runs on.

Once the slab is open we can see what it actually needs. Sometimes that is polish. Sometimes it is a coating. The floor tells you, and we would rather say so than sell the wrong system.
