Metallic epoxy, houses and cabins
Metallic epoxy in houses and cabins. The pigment gets moved by hand while the resin is still open, so the pattern in each of these happened once and cannot be repeated exactly. Look at how the light pools differently in each room.
Metallic epoxy, offices and corridors
The same material in offices, corridors and public buildings. On a long run like a corridor the movement reads as depth rather than pattern, and the reflectivity does real work in spaces that would otherwise need more lighting.
Flake epoxy, garages
Residential garages, which take more abuse than any other floor in a house. Vinyl chip broadcast to refusal, then locked under a clear coat. The texture hides the small imperfections a solid color would put on display.
Flake epoxy, porches and patios
Porches, patios and covered walkways. Outdoor slabs need a UV stable top coat or they amber in the sun, and enough grit in the finish to stay safe when the surface is wet.
Flake epoxy, commercial and storage
Storage facilities, corridors, locker rooms and back of house areas. These floors see constant wheeled traffic and very little care, which is exactly what flake systems are good at.
Polished concrete
No coating on any of these. The shine is the concrete itself, ground through finer and finer diamond grits and hardened with a densifier. Grind deeper and the sand, then the stone, come up.
Pool decks
Pool decks, where the floor is wet, barefoot and in full sun. Texture and UV stability matter more here than anywhere else on a property.
Urethane cement and wet areas
Wet and hard use commercial rooms. Urethane cement handles hot water, steam cleaning and caustics that would take an epoxy off, and it turns up the wall at a coved base so there is no seam for water to work into.

Often yes. Commercial floors in public buildings are the easiest. Ask when you call.

Can you match a floor you have done before?
Flake blends and polished finishes, yes, closely. Metallic is different: it can be made in the same family but never repeated exactly, because of how it is installed.
